With the transition from MGNREGA to the new Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar & Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), millions of rural households are being updated in the central database. Ensuring that your name successfully made it to the new VB-G RAM G List is critical. If your name is missing, you cannot demand work or claim your 125 days of guaranteed wages.
Thanks to the government's push for extreme digital transparency, you no longer need to beg local officials to show you the paper registers. You can check your name in the official list right from your mobile phone.
Why You Must Check Your Name Online
Under the new Act, the entire system is linked to the Viksit Bharat National Rural Infrastructure Stack. This means:
- If your name is not digitally verified, your biometric attendance at the worksite will fail.
- You will not be able to receive Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) into your bank account.
- If a corrupt official deleted your name to add a "ghost worker," you can catch it early.
Step-by-Step Guide to Checking Your Name
Follow these simple steps to verify your Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card status:
- Visit the Official Portal: Open your smartphone browser and go to the official VB-G RAM G government portal at vbgramg.dord.gov.in.
- Navigate to 'Transparency': Scroll down to the "Public Disclosures" or "Transparency" section on the homepage.
- Select 'Job Card / Worker List': Click on the link for the Gramin Rozgar Guarantee Card Beneficiary List. (Alternatively, use our State-wise Job Card Directory for faster access).
- Enter Your Details: Select your State, District, Block, and Gram Panchayat from the drop-down menus.
- Submit and Search: Click the 'Submit' or 'Proceed' button. A table will appear showing all registered households in your village.
- Find Your Name: You can scroll through the list or use your browser's "Find in Page" feature to search for your name or your Job Card Number.
What details will you see?
Once you click on your name or Job Card number in the list, the system will display your full digital record. This includes:
- Names and ages of all registered adult members in your household.
- Whether you hold a Standard Card or a Special Card.
- Total days worked in the current financial year.
- Total wages paid and pending to your bank account.
Name Verification Flow
What To Do If Your Name Is Missing?
If you have already applied but your name is not on the online list, do not panic. It could be due to a pending verification or a data entry error. Follow this protocol:
- Check your dated acknowledgement receipt from when you applied. If 15 days have passed, the Panchayat is in violation of the Act.
- Visit the Gram Panchayat office and demand to know why the digital upload failed.
- If they refuse to help, immediately file a grievance with the Block Programme Officer or log a complaint on the official digital grievance portal. Under the new law, they must resolve your issue within 15 days.
